NE Minneapolis' microcinema celebrates our non-winter with the extreme ski movie, "Like A Lion". This doc tells the life story of Tanner Hall who set a new standard and pioneered freesking in 2000's. The movie goes deep into Tanner's peaks while he wins 7 Golds at the XGames and his valleys of battling injuries and drug abuse.
‘Like A Lion’ premiered in 2010 to a packed theater at the IF3 Film Festival in Montreal. Co-Director Eric Iberg recalls the nervous wait before the movie started."I just remember sitting in the theatre thinking people are going to totally love this movie or totally hate it. After the first big laugh and when the entire theatre started cheering I knew it was on." Like A Lion went on to earn the Best Documentary Prize at the film festival.
Special guest and local filmmaker, Shane Nelson, co-directed, produced and edited the film will take questions after the screening. We hope you all can make it.
As always please BYOB and enter through the blue north side loading dock door under the very large Red Arrow.
