On Thursday April 28th, Casket Cinema is happy to present the Academy Award nominated documentary “The Salt of the Earth”.
This movie is about the life of acclaimed international photographer Sabastio Saldago. The film explores his major photographic series and the impact his photographs may have had on the world. The film reveals how his photojournalism have affected him, his family and has lead him to the environmental work he is currently executing with his wife in the Brazilian Rain forest. The film is co-directed by Wim Wenders and Sabastio’s son Julian.
This evening’s film is part of the Fierce Lament Earth Day Series by Form & Content Gallery and the artist Camille Gage. Cinema will open its doors at 7:30pm and the film will begin at 8pm.

Special guests
Special guests for the evening will be local photographers; Vance Gellert, founder of pARTS gallery, Gina Dabrowski and documentary artist, Keith Holmes. Their photographs will hang in a pop up show on the Casket Cinema gallery walls and they each will take questions in a post film Q&A.
