Racing Extinction

Thursday, September 8, 2016 - 7:30pm

On Thursday Sept. 8th at 8pm Casket Cinema will present the award winning 2015 documentary RACING EXTINCTION.  The film travels the world to illustrate how Earth is in the middle of the 6th mass extinction. The movie provides intriguing evidence how up 50% of all the planets’ species may be be lost if we continue to pollute and change the climate. Made by the Oscar winning producers of  THE COVE,  the film goes undercover with wildlife activists to display the devious methods corporations do to exploit endangered species and further our planet to the next extinction.

Casket cinema programmer, Mark Wojahn, believes Racing Extinction is one of the most important films of last year. Environmental and Climate change experts tbd will talk with Casket Cinema audiences in a special post film Q&A.  Our Q&A's takes the mission in the movies we present to a very personal place.  We believe the act of sitting down and talking about issues is part of our responsibility as citizens and a prelude to action. Signs ups for local organizations and literature on how you can activate on this issue will be present for each attendee.
