On Thursday April 28th, Casket Cinema is happy to present the Academy Award nominated documentary “The Salt of the Earth”. This movie is about the life of acclaimed international photographer Sabastio Saldago. The film explores his major photographic series and the impact his photographs may have had on the world. The film reveals how his photojournalism have affected him, his family and has lead him to the environmental work he is currently executing with his wife in the Brazilian Rain forest. The film is co-directed by Wim Wenders and Sabastio’s son Julian.

On March 3rd, Casket Cinema diverts from it’s usual diet of documentary sustenance with a platter of 16mm vintage film trailers curated by collector Mark Har. He calls this program “the Backyard Trailer Explosion”. It will be a throwback night of cinematic camp and kitsch. Tip your drink and come to see forgotten trailers from B-Movie classics!
