The film, directed by Casket Cinema co-founder Mark Wojahn premiered at MSPIFF in 2025 and was met with sold out screenings and won “Best of the Fest”.

Casket Cinema hopes this film will be a great compliment to all of the artistic shenanigans of the NE Minneapolis Art Crawl. Co-founder Mark Wojahn will speak with special guests TBD in a Q& A after the screening.

Trailer

The Dance Is Not Over, is  Wojahn’s story on the life and work of MN dancer, choreographer, and storyteller Patrick Scully.  It was filmed over six years and framed around the rehearsals of Scully’s dance company as they rehearse for their sold out shows at the Guthrie theater. Filmed in beautiful 4K resolution by cinematographer Gregory Winter, the movie zooms in on secrets of Scully’s; Early years, as he finds his movement in Contact Improv, dances with Remy Charlip in New York, founds Patrick’s Cabaretin Minneapolis, battles the 90’s culture wars, and presents his homoerotic personification of Walt Whitman in “Leaves of Grass: Illuminated”.
